The Scriptures
We believe that all of Scripture (i.e. both the Old and New Testament) is inspired by God, brought to life by the Holy Spirit, and is our final authority in all matters pertaining to doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness (II Tim. 3:16,17).
God the Father
We believe in only one true God; One in essence, nature, and attributes, but existing in three expressions: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (I Jn. 5:7).
Jesus Christ the Son
We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, of His shed blood on Calvary for the forgiveness of our sins, of His bodily resurrection and ascension to the Father's right hand. The only way through which we can receive righteousness, regeneration, sanctification, and glorification. He is, in fact, our salvation (I Cor. 1:30-31).
Holy Spirit the Teacher
We believe in the Holy Spirit, that comes to live in us at the moment of salvation and can be expressed with speaking in tongues according to Acts 1:8; 2:4; 9:17; 10:44-46; 11:15,16; and 19:6. We believe this experience is a part of the new birth, and is the teacher and the power that brings the Word to Life (Gal. 3:2).
Salvation
We believe that all who, in repentance and in faith, receive the Lord Jesus as Savior and Lord are born anew and receive the Holy Spirit and all the Power of God at that moment. Salvation is a free gift received and can not be lost, as it does not have anything to do with works of our own.(Acts 20:20-21; Rom. 10:9-13).
Healing
We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross has provided healing for the human body and that the Power of God, the Word, made alive in us through the Holy Spirit makes that healing power available through us today. (Mt. 8:16,17; Isa. 53:4; I Pet. 2:24).
The Resurrection
We believe in the resurrection of the just and the unjust; one to everlasting life and one to everlasting damnation (Mt. 25:46).
The Second Coming
We believe in a literal, physical second return of the Lord Jesus Christ (I Th. 1:10; 4:16-17).
The Church
We believe that the universal church is comprised of all true believers who have received salvation through Christ (Eph. 1:22-23). Though we believe in and encourage fellowship with a local church (Heb. 10:25), the church has one purpose only and that is to build up each Christian, for the purpose of spreading the good news of Christ. We are all called to preach the good news.
Pastors
Pastors are shepherds, within the local churches to encourage, strengthen, and help train new Christians. To help them realize just what power they have available to them in the Word of God through the power of the Holy Spirit. So that the church may go out into the world and bring others to salvation.
Gifts of the Spirit
We believe that spiritual gifts and outward manifestations of the Holy Spirit are for the building up of the church (each individual person with in the church)as well as a sign for the unbeliever, so that Christians may spread the good news of salvation through Christ to the world.(I Cor. 12:7).
